Toronto ACORN's Affordable Child Care Action Group meets for the first time!

Posted August 17, 2017

Our Affordable Child Care Action Group met for the first time in Toronto on Tuesday to finalize demands for our new campaign.
ACORN members from Scarborough to Mississauga want affordable, accessible, high quality child care for all families in Ontario. This means more non-profit child care centres in our communities, increased and simplified access to subsidy, sliding scale fees, and better pay for registered early childhood educators.
ACORN leaders Patricia Edwards, Sonali Shah, and Jennine Ambrose facilitated discussions on child care policy, campaign strategy, and outreach to other parents in our communities. Big things are coming!
