Ottawa ACORN members packed the house at the Minimum Wage Forum last night (December 3rd), with over 80 people in attendance.
Members spent two and a half hours questioning political parties around their positions on the minimum wage and the working poor. Parties in attendance included the NDP, PC, Green Party, Communist Party, and the Party for People with Special Needs.
Ottawa ACORN members, along with ACORN members and allies across Ontario, are fighting for a $14/hour minimum wage, indexed to inflation.
Big thanks to Ottawa & District Labour Council and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) - National Capital Region (NCR) for their support and for helping out with the forum.
