On Friday, ACORN Canada, which advocates for moderate and low-income families, said Premier Stephen McNeil was raising the minimum wage in Nova Scotia to $15 per hour.
That is not the case.
However, the minimum wage in Nova Scotia went up by 10 cents per hour Friday (to $10.70) — something that ACORN and opposition parties were quick to say was a real joke.
